TRIP CANCELLED DUE TO HEAVY FLOW ON THE RIVER. ALTERNATIVE PADDLE ON THE GRAND UNION CANAL
A trip of approximately 10 miles to include a 2 mile section of the Maidenhead Waterway from near Maidenhead town centre down to the River Thames at Bray; then downstream on the Thames via Boveney and Romney Locks to Old Windsor
The Maidenhead Waterway is a side stream of the Thames, leaving the main river near Cookham and rejoining it by Bray Marina. The waterway has a good flow, is slightly overgrown in places that adds interest and a public right of navigation under Thames Navigation Acts.
BCU sticker or Environment Agency Thames licence required.
