* Remember - there must be at least 2 fresh veggies. I've highlighted them in the recipes in green

* For dishes including rice, you can use half a packet of pre-cooked rice instead. Add the rice 3 minutes before the end of cooking time, and reduce the amount of liquid by ¼ mug.

Chilli Con Carne


100 g lean minced meat (beef, turkey, pork)

45 g kidney beans; canned and drained

½ medium clove garlic, sliced

1 small Onion, chopped

½ medium green pepper, diced

1 teaspoon cooking oil (double if using minced turkey)

1 small tin chopped tomatoes; (200g)

½ cube beef stock

1 teaspoonchilli powder

¼ teaspoon drinking chocolate

½ teaspoon mixed herbs

½ pack pre-cooked rice

Heat the cooking oil in a saucepan and cook the onion until slightly softened. Add the garlic and pepper and cook for another few minutes. Add the mince, brown and then drain off excess fat. Stir in all other ingredients, adding more or less chilli powder to your taste. Cover and cook for 17 minutes. Stir in rice and simmer for another 3 minutes.
